Ville Valo in a magazine: touring is boring as sober

The singer of HIM, Ville Valo, opens up in a recent interview in the rock magazine Rumba about his relationship with alcohol.
Having been sober for over a year, Valo tells to Rumba that he’s in a better shape than before but admits that life as the soloist of the acclaimed band is now different.
– Touring is a hell of a lot more boring, snaps Valo.
Valo misses the good experiences that came with alcohol but is, on the other hand, pleased that he doesn’t have to suffer from “bad sex and terrible hangovers”.
Being sober hasn’t affected his stage fright to one direction or the other.
– I used to drink beer before but I was still anxious. Being sober doesn’t affect to it in any way. Articulation is clearer and I have much more energy, Valo tells to Rumba.
