On this day, in 1971, a darling, sweet Cherub was born. Eventually, the day would come where this little darling, 

known as Mika would be the beat of so many hearts and shine with his own light from within.

I present to you the birthday blog for Mika Kristian Karppinen, also known to most HIM fans as Gas Lipstick!! 

Fellow HIM worshippers, today is the birthday of a man who shines like the true gem he is. 

He may consider himself to be just a drummer- but oh, he is so much more! He is the heartbeat of HIM...

I dare confess, I have a soft spot for Gas. He is truly an amazing musician, a drummer. He doesn't do what he does for glory, 

like some drummmers- he does it for the love of it. He doesn't care that the spotline may not shine down upon him, but to see him play, you can see that he still shines with his own light, a happiness that so few others possess. 

Seeing Gas like this, makes me see him in a totally different light, every time. He is adorable! He is just so...words can't come to mind- not now, or maybe never, but it he so...I don't know...beautiful & magical all at the same time, 

from his own light from within him.

So, I dedicate this Birthday blog to honour Gas, for being the one who makes my heart pound harder & faster with the music...

a man who shines without the need for a spotlight upon him. I wish you a very Happy Birthday,  BabyDoll. 

May it bring you so much happiness and love from all those you hold near & dear to your own heart.
