Detroit Metal Music Examiner: Interview w/ Daniel Lioneye
Along with having some major success over the past years with his band H.I.M., guitarist Mikko “Linde” Lindstrom has toyed around with the band of his own. His side project, Daniel Lioneye released “The King of Rock n Roll” back in 2001 and was featured as the theme on the wildly popular MTV show “Viva La Bam”. Fast forward almost 9 years, and Lindstrom is gearing up to release the band’s second album, “Vol. II”, due out April 27th.
As Linde was on tour with H.I.M. at a very recent show in Pontiac, I had a chance to catch up with Linde by phone right before he had to head to the band’s soundcheck before H.I.M.’s just about sold out show at Clutch Cargo’s, where the band ripped through a hit filled set. Linde and I discussed the inspiration for Lioneye’s second record and reaction that he may receive from fans for the new album. Here’s my interview with Linde.
