Mayra Dias Gomes had the chance to interview Ville Valo, at House of Blues in Las Vegas the 24th of Apr.

How nice to cross the desert with my love to arrive in the city where everything sparkles and flashes. Good morning, Las Vegas! Is 9:00 AM and I'm standing to take advantage of a sunny day in the pool.
We arrived yesterday afternoon and went straight to the famous House of Blues Mandalay Hotel (which appears in the game Guitar Hero, if I remember correctly) to find one of my favorite musicians: Ville Valo, lead singer of Finnish band HIM and Ville in I met last summer in Helsinki, when I visited the mysterious city in the world of rock'n'roll invitation from the government of Finland. On occasion, I talked to Ville for about an hour, and I quickly realized that he is one of the sweetest, most humble rock stars who've had the pleasure of knowing. Our interview was not filmed professionally, because I was in Helsinki without a camcorder or a professional film crew, and the fact has caused much controversy on the Internet. Some fans were outraged by the picture and sound recording, made with a normal camera, because I had intended to conduct an interview in writing. Still, the video, which at that time was done for the magazine's website SPIN ,Spin Earth, took first place today - ten months later. Discussion absurd happened in the comments - even the shorts I was wearing because of the heat that was in town, turned topic. I should know: the Ville Valo fans are the most passionate fans in the world. Lucky him!
Yesterday we sat backstage at the Las Vegas show to talk about what happened since our last meeting. Ten months ago, he was rehearsing a lot and was preparing to go to Los Angeles to record a new album, "Screamworks: Love In Theory and Practice", with producer Matt Squire. Today, the album is in stores.
Ville agreed to meet me just before going on stage last night, and still had time and patience to answer my questions and recall some moments of last summer.
Tomorrow my column in the Folha Revolver will be on the Golden Gods Awards, then the column on the HIM will leave in about two weeks.
