Download: Ville Valo Interview
On June 12, Ville spared a little time for a chat at the Download festival before his band, HIM's scheduled performance on the Ronnie James Dio stage:
Hi Ville, welcome back to Download. How many times have you been here now?
I’d love to say way to many [laughs]. But I think this might be our fifth time, or maybe even our sixth. It’s crazy – we’ve had the honour to be invited to come over again.
Why is Download so special to you?
It’s always been great. It’s a celebration of all kinds of music, it’s not just for one band, it’s not just an ordinary gig for us. It’s an institution.
